Bajel Projects Limited has secured two international engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) orders in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, with a combined value exceeding ₹400 crore, further strengthening its international presence in the high-voltage transmission infrastructure segment.
The newly awarded contracts fall under the company’s “ultra-mega” order category and involve the construction of two contiguous sections of 500 kV overhead transmission lines. The project forms part of a broader national grid reinforcement programme in the MENA region aimed at strengthening transmission infrastructure and enhancing high-voltage power evacuation capabilities to meet rising industrial and economic demand.
The project is expected to support grid stability and improve the region’s transmission backbone, aligning with ongoing investments in energy infrastructure expansion and power system modernization across MENA countries.
Rajesh Ganesh, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Bajel Projects Limited, said the order marks a significant milestone for the company’s international growth strategy and reflects increasing global confidence in its engineering expertise and project execution capabilities.
According to the company, the contract reinforces Bajel Projects’ position as an EPC partner in the high-voltage transmission segment and adds to its expanding international order pipeline alongside its strong domestic business.
The latest win also builds on the company’s growing footprint in the MENA region, including its strategic joint venture with Al Sharif Group in Saudi Arabia, aimed at expanding its operational and execution capabilities across regional power infrastructure markets.
The order comes amid increasing investments in transmission and grid modernization across the MENA region, driven by rising electricity demand, industrial expansion, and renewable energy integration initiatives requiring stronger high-voltage transmission networks.
