NTPC Awards 4 MW Solar Microgrid O&M Contract With BESS To Jayram Industries

NTPC Limited has awarded an Operations and Maintenance (O&M) contract to Jayram Industries India Pvt Ltd for a solar-based microgrid project. The tender for this project wasissuedin February 2026, marking a key step in strengthening operational efficiency for clean energy assets.

The project involves the O&M of a 4 MW solar PV-based microgrid located at NTPC NETRA in Greater Noida. The contract will be executed over a period of two years. In addition to managing the solar installation, the scope of work also includes the operation of a 1,250 kWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), which plays a crucial role in ensuring a stable and reliable power supply.

This development is significant for Jayram Industries India Pvt Ltd as it marks its entry into BESS O&M services. With the increasing integration of renewable energy into the grid, energy storage systems are becoming essential for balancing supply and demand, improving grid stability, and enhancing overall efficiency.
