Sahaj Solar has won a domestic contract worth Rs 63.5 crore, excluding GST, for solar water pumping systems in Maharashtra. According to SolarQuarter, the agreement with MSEDCL falls under the Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana and the PM KUSUM B Scheme.
The company will design, manufacture, supply, install, test and commission off-grid DC solar photovoltaic pumps in 3 HP, 5 HP and 7.5 HP capacities. The package also includes warranty support, five years of repair and maintenance, and remote monitoring for each system.
The project reflects continued policy support for solar-powered irrigation in India. For farmers, these systems can reduce dependence on unreliable or costly energy sources. For equipment providers, state-backed schemes continue to create a steady project pipeline across rural energy markets.
