Thermax Limited and Ankur Scientific have partnered to develop India’s first green methanol plant at Deendayal Port Authority, marking a step forward for clean fuel production.

Green methanol is gaining attention as a lower-carbon fuel and chemical feedstock that can support decarbonization in shipping, industry, and energy applications. Projects at port locations are especially relevant because ports are looking for cleaner fuels to reduce emissions across logistics chains.

The collaboration brings together technology and project capabilities to demonstrate how renewable-linked fuels can be produced and integrated into industrial ecosystems.
