Time:2026-04-30 Click:5

ACME Solar Holdings has expanded its battery energy storage portfolio in Rajasthan by commissioning an additional 35.714 MW / 160.512 MWh at a project in Bikaner district. According to SolarQuarter, the capacity has been developed through ACME Surya Power Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary.

With this addition, the subsidiary's commissioned storage capacity has reached 175.223 MW / 787.387 MWh. The commercial operation date for the latest capacity is set for May 1, 2026.

Battery storage is becoming central to India's renewable energy transition because it helps manage solar variability and supports power delivery outside generation hours. ACME Solar's expansion shows how large developers are moving beyond standalone generation and building storage-backed portfolios that can improve grid reliability, scheduling flexibility and clean energy utilization.
