The African Development Bank and the Government of Gabon have concluded the 10th Africa Energy Market Place in Libreville, focusing on power sector reform and investment planning. SolarQuarter reported that the forum aligned Gabon's energy priorities with the wider Mission 300 initiative, which aims to expand electricity access across Africa by 2030.

Discussions covered generation capacity, grid modernization, regional integration, distributed renewable energy, clean cooking and utility governance. Rural electrification and private sector participation were also highlighted as key areas for future investment.

For Gabon, the process is intended to shape a National Energy Compact that can support bankable projects and reform delivery. For the African power market, the meeting underscores the importance of combining policy dialogue, utility improvement and renewable deployment to accelerate reliable energy access.
