Vikram Solar expects first-cell production at its planned 9 GW TOPCon manufacturing facility in Gangaikondan, Tamil Nadu, by December 2026.
The plant is located at SIPCOT Industrial Park in Tirunelveli district. The full 9 GW capacity will be commissioned in phases after initial production begins. Its cells are intended to supply a substantial share of the company’s module manufacturing needs and reduce reliance on imported components.
The cell project follows a 6 GW module facility inaugurated at the campus in August 2026. A further planned phase involves 9 GW of ingot and wafer manufacturing targeted for financial year 2029. These milestones remain development targets, with first-cell output distinct from commissioning the entire cell capacity.
